Christmas Lights!

Mallory absolutely loves to look at Christmas lights. She's amazed everytime we drive down the street at night. She always says "mo yights" or in English "more lights". So we have started a new tradition. After dinner one night we hopped in the car, stopped by Starbucks, & went to look at Christmas lights. Mallory enjoyed every minute of it while constantly saying "mo yights" until she got so tired...she finally said "no mo yights". It was such a fun night out with the family! Good times & great memories.

Last Day of Kindermusik!

I'm a bit behind on my blogging due to the holidays. So here we go! December 18th was Mallory's last day of Kindermusik for the semester. We have already signed up for next semester because she loves it so much.
Kevin was able to join us for her last day. It was his first time at Kindermusik so he got to see what all we do every Thursday. The 3 of us had alot of fun and of course Mallory had fun showing off for Daddy.
After the class, we had a little Christmas party with all of the kids in her class. Thanks to Mrs. Leticia for a great semester!

Kevin's 30th Birthday!

As mentioned in my previous posts, Kevin turned 30 on December 13th! We just can't believe that we're turning 30. I'll be next in January! After a great night out on Friday night we came home Saturday morning to celebrate with Mallory & my Mom! The day was filled with presents, relaxing, family time, & homemade Buttermilk pie (upon his request)! I had given Kevin my cold (it is the season of giving) so he was a bit under the weather. But we had a nice day of hanging out and celebrating Kevin's special day!

Our Date Night for Kevin's Birthday!

Kevin's 30th birthday was on December 13th. So on Friday, December 12th the 2 of us went out to dinner & a movie while my Mom babysat Mallory. Little did he know that I had a big surprise for him. I surprised him with a night at the Camino Real in downtown El Paso. It is this very nice hotel in the middle of downtown. I had asked my Mom earlier in the week if she minded spending the night with Mallory. Of course, she was thrilled. A night alone with her sweet Mallory...she couldn't wait!
So Kevin & I enjoyed a wonderful dinner, (after dinner I gave him the keys to the hotel), then went to see "Four Christmases", and we then headed to the hotel for a nice, relaxing evening.
He was so surprised & we really enjoyed our night out then we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast in the hotel restaurant. We love our sweet Mallory but it was nice to be alone & have some "us" time.
Saturday was filled with presents, family time, & relaxing! I will post those pics next!

Oma Comes to Visit!

My Mom aka Oma came to see us on December 8th and was here until December 14th. She is now with my sister & her family. We will all meet up in New York including my Dad aka Papa.
We had a blast while she was here. Mallory enjoyed Oma so much. We played, colored, shopped, & she even got to go to Kindermusik with us so that was fun!
It was so much fun spending time together. Oma & Mallory have so much fun together. I love watching them interact. I, of course, enjoy hanging out with my Mom! We have so much fun & enjoy our time together.
Mallory also got some fun goodies from Oma! So she has been playing with all of her new stuff. I can't even imagine what Christmas is going to be like!

1) Where did you meet? We met in college at Texas Tech. We both went to IABC. We actually met for the first time at a bible study held at his house but we were friends for a year before we started dating.

5) What's your favorite quality of his? He loves the Lord, he an awesome Daddy to Mallory, he's good to me, he's funny, smart...the list goes on.

9) What is his favorite sport? football (Texas Tech & Denver Broncos)
10) When and where was your first kiss? In my apartment in college. We hung out the night before we had a our "first date" and he kissed me then.
11) What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? Go to the movies (which is very rare now with a little one)
12) Do you have any children? 1 so far
13) Does he have a hidden talent? He can play any song on the guitar after hearing it just once or twice.

Oh Christmas Tree

On Monday, December 1st, we decorated for Christmas. Kevin had taken off from work so we enjoyed a day around the house & decorating to Christmas music. While Mallory napped, Kevin & I decorated most of the Christmas tree together. We put aside a few ornaments for Mallory so when she woke up, she got to hang them on the tree. She enjoyed that alot. She was so cute as she hung them & smiled. She thought she was pretty cool. We really enjoyed watching a big girl decorate our tree.
