Father/Daughter Day

A couple of Sundays ago I woke up with a horrible stomach bug. I was out of commission the entire day. Luckily, the youth at our church were leading music that morning so Kevin didn't have to lead that Sunday. Therefore, he was able to stay home with us and play Mr. Mom! He was terrific while I layed in bed the entire day! Mallory & Daddy had a fun day together. These were some pictures I took of them sharing some pasta salad while I was feeling a little better and had actually made it down to the couch. Even when I'm sick, I will always make time for pictures:)

Baby Abby

Meet Baby Abby! This is Mallory's sweet baby that she absolutely loves. She feeds her, pushes her in the toy stroller, and holds her. It is so sweet. In these pictures she's wiping her face because I was wiping down Baby Abby and Mallory decided she needed to do the job. At first, Mallory just called her baby but then we named her Abby because Mallory loves to say that name. She got it from Sesame Street and said it quite often. So now she is officially Baby Abby. Mallory will sometimes calls her baby, Baby Abby, or she'll run them together and call her Babby!

It is so fun to watch her pretend and love on her sweet baby.

Sis' Birthday

Yesterday, June 7th was my sister's 38th birthday. My sister is the most amazing sister, friend, wife, mother, she loves the Lord, and can sell Mary Kay like no other! She is my best friend and I can't imagine my life without her. We talk at least 2 to 3 times a day (thank goodness for Sprint to Sprint) and we always know what the other is doing and what the kiddos are up to. We wished we live closer but God has blessed us so much and we're able to see eachother more that most families. We used to live less than a mile apart in Lubbock and now we live 10 hours from eachother. But we are still as close as ever. We weren't able to be there for her birthday but she was definitely in my thoughts all day yesterday and hopefully we'll see eachother really soon!

As you can see in the title, I call her Sis and have since I was able to talk. So whenever I blog about her from now on, you'll know who I'm talking about. I never call her by her name, Tara.

Happy Birthday, Sis! I love you!

Outside Snack Time

Last Saturday, Mallory enjoyed her snack of mandarin oranges outside on the porch. It was another hot but beautiful day!

Hot Days & Water Bottles

Last Friday was another hot day here in El Paso so Mallory enjoyed spraying herself with the water bottle. It was quite funny because she was shocked everytime she sprayed herself.
I also added anothe pic of her in her house.

Mallory's New House

I recently purchased a pop-up house for Mallory which Oma treated so thanks Oma! It is the best thing ever. Mallory loves to play in it and loves to bring all of her toys in with her. It is great because it can be taken inside or outside. Right now it stays in our living room but what is nice is that it can fold up and goes into a bag of its own. Jacy got one for her birthday so I rushed out and got one for Mallory. Mallory and her friend, Mattox go in there (and Mallory loves to tip it over) and they just giggle which is the sweetest sound to my ears.

So I definitely recommend this awesome house. You can find it in the garden section at Target for $30.

More Bisbee Pictures!

Here are a few more pictures from our trip to Bisbee & Tombstone!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great time on Memorial Day weekend. The 3 of us went with some of our close friends to Bisbee, Arizona and we also made a visit to Tombstone which in close by. Including children, we had 25 people on the trip so you can imagine it was a little crazy. We stayed in a bed & breakfast called the School House Inn! It was plenty big to hold us all. We took up 7 of the 9 rooms and we felt very sorry for the poor souls that had the other 2 rooms. We pretty much took the place over.

We took off Saturday morning from El Paso. We all met at Starbucks and followed eachother to Bisbee. We had a minor mishap with Kevin's tires so we made it to Las Cruces (30 miles away from EP) and had to stop at Wal-Mart for them to patch his tire. So all 25 of us hung out at Wal-Mart for 2 hours.

The rest of the trip was great. We stopped at McDonald's for lunch and arrived in Bisbee around 1pm. We hung around downtown and looked at all the cute little shops. After checking into the B&B, we stayed around there, made dinner, then after the kids went to bed, the adults stayed up and talked.

Sunday, we headed to Tombstone which was pretty cool but a little different. They were having Wyatt Earp Days and there were Wild West reinactments for part of the time we were there. Mallory wasn't too fond of the fake gun shots. That night we all grilled out, then stayed up talking and playing games.

Monday, we checked out, hung out downtown, then made our way home.

It was a great weekend and with wonderful friends. We have many treasured memories that we will remember forever.

Here are a few pics from our trip!
