Good Job, Kevin! We love you and we're so proud of you!

Triathlon Pictures!

Here are some more pictures from throughout the day!

It was also my Dad's birthday!!! It was a special weekend all around!

Kevin's Triathlon

On Sunday, October 26th, Kevin competed in his first triathlon. He started training for this in May and has been working out like crazy since then. We were able to see him at each event and transition so that was awesome. He did a great job! He finished with a time of 3 hours & 13 minutes! We were all so proud of him. Mallory enjoyed yelling "Go Dada" many times and she thought it was cool when she saw him. It was great to have our friends there and they were a big help with Mallory too!
Julia & Jeremy had a friend there that was taking pictures with his fancy camera so he got some amazing shots of Kevin. He is supposed to get those to me sometime this week!
Here are some pictures of Kevin! Congrats to Kevin! He's amazing!!

Our Weekend Trip!

Last Sunday, Kevin competed in his first triathlon so we headed up to Phoenix, Arizona on Friday. On our way, we stopped in Sierra Vista and stayed the night with Julia, Jeremy, & Mattox. They are our good friends from El Paso that just moved there in September. So we along with our friend, Sandy got to hang out with them on Friday then we all headed to Phoenix on Saturday. We have such great friends! They came along and so they could be there to see Kevin in his triathlon. It was such a fun weekend. Mallory and Mattox had so much fun together. They play so well together so that leaves alot of free time for talking and hanging out for the adults! Sandy's hubby Mark is about to be deployed so he was at his training therefore he couldn't be there with us! We missed him tremendously! So here are some pics from Friday & Saturday. We took the girls to the park on Friday afternoon in Sierra Vista! Then on Saturday, we enjoyed the day around Phoenix and got Kevin checked in.
On Saturday, we got the call that Kevin's sister, Page went into labor. So we now have a new niece!!! Her name is Hali Ava Carter! We can't wait to meet her in November!
I have plenty of pics from the triathlon so those will be next!

23 Months!

Mallory turned 23 months on Tuesday, October 21st. I can't believe we are one month away from her 2 year old birthday. These 2 years have flown by!
She is getting so big. She is so smart and is talking so much more. Her vocabulary continues to multilply. She usually amazes us with a couple of new words or phrases a day! She also knows some of her alphabet & her numbers. We work on those daily.
She still loves music, laughing, reading, and dancing! She makes Mommy & Daddy laugh and smile all the time!

Making Toast

Mallory & I have been learning a song about making toast in our Kindermusik class. So on Monday morning, I decided to show Mallory how to make real toast with jelly and to let her help me. She has seen me make it from afar but never up close. She had fun and we enjoyed singing the song as we made it. We brought the toast along with some oatmeal to Daddy in bed so it was his special treat.

More Pumpkin Patch Pics

Here a some family pictures from our day at the pumpkin patch! The last picture is of Mallory after picking out her own pumpkin!

Pumpkin Patch

Last Saturday, the 3 of us headed out to the La Union Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch. We had such a great time. We were able to take a trailer ride (pulled by a tractor) out to the pumpkin patch. Mallory wasn't too excited about the ride because it was quite bumpy. Once we got out there, she enjoyed walking around the pumpkin patch and actually picking the pumpkins. Before that we had fun looking at the goats & the bunnies. Mallory loves to say goat so she continued to point & say goat over & over. She of course loved the bunnies too. She thought we were at the zoo. It was such a great day! We had a picnic lunch under the pecan groves & even went down a big slide. Again, Mal wasn't too sure about the slide. But overall, she you could tell she loved being there!

Our friends, Bill & Wendy along with their son David, were also there so we enjoyed some time with them also! The kiddos had fun playing together.

It was the perfect family day! Great fun & great memories!

Grandma & Grandpa G

On our way home from Lubbock, we stopped in Hobbs to visit Kevin's family. It was Grandpa G's birthday so we were glad to be able to see him and wish his a very special day! We got to indulge in some yummy chocolate pudding with whipped cream & watch Grandpa open his presents. We also got to see Uncle Joe & Aunt Marcia.
Though it was short, we enjoyed our time together!

Sharing Treats

While we were in Lubbock, we went to one of our favorite places, Jason's Deli (ok, so it is mostly my favorite place)! We don't have one in El Paso so every time we are in town, we head that way. I love their salad bar & you can't beat free ice cream for dessert! And the gingerbread muffins are do die for!
Mallory enjoyed a yummy icecream cone with Dada made especially by Dada! Mama even got a bite! And later, she enjoyed eating some french fries with Mama in a fun way at Johnny Carinos! I love the last picture of Kevin & Mallory!! So sweet!
Fun times as a family:)
