Fun in the Snow!

After naptime on Christmas Eve we bundled up Mallory, Jacy, & Britton & took them out to play in the snow! The snow was left over from Sunday but it was still all there and fun to play in. This was Mallory's first time to play in the snow. She had alot of fun and so did Jacy & Britton! The adults enjoyed ourselves too! We got some great pics & video. Mallory tried to make a snow angel. It was so darn cute!

Again....more wonderful memories!

Traditions!

My sister & I have always baked cookies on Christmas Eve and decorated them. We have done this for as long as I can remember. This year we let the kiddos join in the decorating and they loved it. We also added a new tradition. We baked a birthday cake for Jesus & the kiddos decorated it also. Though we do love Santa, we want them to grow up knowing the true meaning of Christmas! So we talked about how Jesus was born & how it was his birthday on Christmas! The final decorations were quite interesting but beautiful because it was made with love!

We enjoyed our time baking & making memories! Oma was our photographer because Mallory wanted to sit on my lap. Thanks, Oma! It was the all the girls & Britton in the kitchen. All the men were watching football!

Sweet, sweet memories!

Sweet Family Pics!

Here are just some fun pictures of my awesome family. I just love being with them and hanging out. Mallory, as you can see, adores them too! The one with me, my mom, & sister is of us wrapping all of the presents. Everyone year we have a wrapping marathon....alot of presents & alot of wrapping paper!

While we were in New York we got our family pictures taken. I can't wait for them to come in! They turned out awesome! We finally have one with our children in them! Pop even took one with us. So that will be a treasure too!

Family Time!

On Sunday, December 21st, my grandfather had a little dinner party. Our close family & friends came over to hang out & enjoy good food! Here are some pics of us hanging out throughout the day & night!

Our Arrival!

We arrived in New York around 6 on Saturday evening. It was a nice, chilly 20 degrees outside so while we waited for our luggage & our driver, I bundled Mallory up. She thought it was so fun to have her hat & gloves on. She doesn't get to wear all that fun stuff here in El Paso.
When we arrived at my Pop's house, the cousins were so happy to see eachother. Mallory couldn't wait to see them along with Oma, Papa, Aunt Sis, Uncle Joel, & Pop. She talked about them the whole way to the house.

Above are some pictures of Mallory in her warm gear, pics with her cousins, & finally my favorite...the three of them looking outside to see all the snow the next morning.

New York Trip 2008

On December 20, 2008, the 3 of us headed to meet my family in Upper Nyack, New York. Nyack is where my Dad was born & raised. His whole side of the family still lives there or in that area including my grandfather. Ever since my parents moved to China in 1999, we have been spending Christmas there at my Pop's house. It is my favorite time of year and we have so much fun & so many memories.
We got to spend some quality family time together, play in the snow, shop, bake & decorate cookies & a birthday cake for Jesus then of course, Christmas! Lots of fun & presents! Santa spoiled us all! (We usually make a trip to the city but with 3 yound kiddos, it just isn't possible yet)

First, are some pictures of our plane ride to New York. Mallory did great! She is now 2 so she gets her own seat. She thought she was pretty cool. She played, slept, & watched some Elmo on her DVD player. We had a layover in Denver so there are some pics of her playing in the airport!

Give me time, I'll get all the Christmas trip pics on here soon!
