Christmas Eve Night

After baking & playing in the snow, we enjoyed a nice dinner out at an Italian food restaurant called Case del Mare...yummy food! We were all exhausted though and we were ready for pjs & relaxing. When we got home, we got the cookies & notes ready for Santa. Mallory wrote her own note to Santa. It was so cute. She of course used her best scribbles to write to Santa! We also help Jacy write one too. We got the cookies, carrots for the reindeer, chocolate milk, & notes all set for Santa. My sister & I have also left cookies, milk, & a note for Santa ever since we could remember! Jacy added the "chocolate" milk & the carrots for the reindeer! We then gathered around the tree for some Christmas stories. Uncle Joel did the reading this year while Oma, Papa, & Pop watched & Oma took some pics!

After the kids went to bed, the adults listened to my Dad read a story out of our favorite book. Row 22 Seat A & B. We started this tradition when we began traveling to NY for Christmas. The stories were found in the United Airlines magazine and they were wonderful....and are still in there around Christmas time every year. After a few years, we found that the author had put together a book of his stories. So we always sit around & listen to Dad read a story. They are always so good. We usually tell Christmas stories of years passed but we were all exhausted and went to bed! Santa was coming early!

As you can tell, my family is all about traditions!!!
